As members of the autonomous community of Cataluña, Barcelona's people are "catalanes". Catalanes speak two official language - Catalán and Spanish - and many consider that their culture has a more artsy, sophisticated and fashionable flavor than other Spanish regions.
However, Barcelona is a friendly city open to visitors and has a huge resident international presence! With residents hailing from throughout Spain and around the globe, Barcelona, you're sure to feel right at home no matter where you're coming from!
Barcelona's unique multicultural atmosphere is reflected in the Enforex Spanish School in Barcelona. In addition to our Spanish classes for international students, we also offer a variety of foreign language courses (English, French, German, Catalan, etc.) for Spanish students. This makes it easy for us to pair up Spanish students with international students for FREE conversational exchanges, known in Spanish as "intercambios". It's the perfect way to make Spanish friends and integrate yourself into Barcelona's social scene, not to mention improve your Spanish skills while helping your conversational partner to do the same in your language.
