BAC! Barcelona Internacional Festival of Contemporary Art Until 30 December Around Barcelona Barcelona's International Festival of Contemporary Art, also called BAC!, is filled with various art works from multimedia, to installation art and murals which have come from all over the world.	Barcelona Boat Show 5-13 November Floating exhibition at Port Vell Marina and Halls 2 and 3 of Fira Gran Via Exhibition centre The 50th edition of the boat show which will be showcasing boats and maritime products from across the world, as well as some activities to do too.	Barcelona Jazz Festival 20 October - 1 December Various clubs, bars and theatres The city’s best jazz festival will feature a number of jazz bands and performers from across Spain and the world.

La ciudad de Sagnier. Modernista, ecléctica y monumental The city of Sagnier. Modernist, Eclectic and Monumental Until 8 January CaixaForum, Avenida Marqués de Comillas, 6 (y 8), Barcelona A photographic exhibition of the buildings and construction of buildings by the architect, Sagnier, which highlight the artistic decoration in his work.	Mel Ramos. Historia de una seducción; obra sobre papel 1962-2011 Mel Ramos. History of a Seduction, work on paper 1962-2011 Until 11 November Senda, Consejo de Ciento, 337, Barcelona A homage to pop art by Mel Ramos which contains over 20 pieces by the artist which pay special attention to her relation with the history of art.	Ricardo E. Bofill. Herat eats mindkind 25 November – 31 December Alejandro Sales, Julián Romea, 16, Barcelona A collection of photos, paintings and other artworks that are designed to capture the attention of the visitor. The photos have not been edited in any way so as to keep the action real.
La Maleta Mexicana The Mexican Suitcase Until 15 January MNAC, Parque de Montjuïc (Palacio Nacional), Barcelona A collection of photographs from the Spanish Civil War which had previously been lost. Among them are photos of famous people including Hemingway and Lorca.	Arte Solidario. Fondo de Arte de la Cruz Roja en Cataluña Art. Art Fund of the Red Cross of Catalonia Until 27 November CaixaForum, Avenida Marqués de Comillas, 6 (y 8), Barcelona The Art Fund of the Red Cross have been receiving donated artworks since Joan Miró began the trend in 1977. The exhibition features works by Miró, Tàpies and Barceló.	La moneda falsa – de la antigüedad al euro Counterfeit coins – from ancient history to the euro Until 8 January Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, Parque de Montjuïc (Palacio Nacional), Barcelona Fake Money is almost as old as real money and this exhibition sheds some light in this illegal history from its beginnings to the present day.
Exposición "Retratos de la Belle Époque" Exhibition 'Belle Époque portraits' Until February Archivo Fotográfico de Barcelona, Plaza Pons i Clerch, 2 (2ª planta) The photographer married, in 1956, Rosario, a gypsy from the Montjüic barracks, which allowed him to photograph the Barcelona gypsy community from the inside. Some 80 pictures, original negatives and vintage prints are exhibited.	Joan Miró. Carteles de un tiempo, de un país Joan Miró. Posters of a time, of a country Until 18 February MHC, Plaza de Pau Vila, 3 (Palacio del Mar), Barcelona Posters and documents from the times of Joan Miró which help to explain the time in which he lived and work. There are also many original letters and drawings by the artist on display too.	Benjamí Tous, Eleazar y Toni Clos. La Dansa Macabra Benjamí Tous, Eleazar y Toni Clos. The Macabre Dance Until 3 December La Xina A.R.T, Hort de la Bomba, 6, Barcelona An exposition that brings together the icons and symbols of three artists to show off the mysteries of death, particularly from the Middle Ages.

Wilco 2 November, 8pm Palau de la Música Catalana, Sant Pere Més Alt, s/n (Palau de la Música, 4-6), 08003, Barcelona A pop-rock band headed by Jeff Tweedy which has only recently reformed and released their latest work, ‘The Whole Love’.	Abbey Road 4 November, 8.30pm Bikini, Avenida Diagonal, 547, 08029, Barcelona A tribute band, rated the number 5 tribute band in the world, which is keeping the spirit and the music of the Beatles alive.	Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Catalunya Barcelona Symphonic Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia 3-4 November, 9.30am Auditori, Lepanto , 150, 08013, Barcelona Founded in 1944, this orchestra has dedicated its time to the spreading of classical music, and particularly that of Catalan composers, amongst the public.
Raphael 5 November Teatre Auditori Sant Cugat, Plaza Gabriel Ferrater, s/n. Sant Cugat del Vallès Rafael Martos, whose stage name is Raphael, has been in the music business for over 50 years and has recorded over 75 discs in his Latino style of music.	Nach 5 November, 10pm Apolo, Nou de la Rambla, 113, 08001, Barcelona Nach or Nach Scratch is a Spanish Harper from Alicante who is well known as being one of the pioneers of the Spanish hip-hop and rap scene.	Explosions in the sky 6 November, 8pm Casino L’Aliança, Pueblonuevo, 42, 08005, Barcelona A post-rock band, similar to Godspeed You! Black Emperor, whose songs tell stories while being set to a melodic soundtrack played on guitars, bass and drums.
In Extremo 13 November, 9.30pm Salamandra 1, Avenida Carrilet, 235, 08907, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat A band who like to dress as Vikings but play rock music. Definitely a concert worth going to!	Machine Head 15 November, 6pm Razzmatazz 1, Almogàvers, 122, 08018, Barcelona This American rock band has been playing heavy metal for almost two decades and are now coming to play in Barcelona!	Madeleine Peyroux 17 November, 9pm Palau de la Música Catalana, Sant Pere Més Alt, s/n (Palau de la Música, 4-6), 08003, Barcelona A young singer with a classic voice who has been compare to Billie Holiday, Madeleine Peyroux sings jazz and blues songs from today and years gone by.

Sensormen 5 November Teatre Joventut, Joventut, 4 (10). L'Hospitalet de Llobregat This mixture between comedy and music is great fun and its performers appear to be a combination of human beings and electronic robots.	Chicago Until 6 November Teatre Tívoli, Casp, 8. Barcelona (Eixample) The big Broadway musical is in its final weeks of showing in the city of Barcelona so make sure you catch it before it’s gone.	Pedra de tartera 18 November Teatre Auditori Sant Cugat, Plaza Gabriel Ferrater, s/n. Sant Cugat del Vallès A story told in first person about the life and struggles of a woman in Spain from the beginnings of the 20th century to the 1960s.
Corella Ballet Castilla y León 12-13 November Centro Cultural Unnim de Terrassa, Rambla Égara, 340. Terrassa The ballet troupe led by the Spanish ballerina Ángel Corella interprets some of the classic ballets from history and provides a great showcase for Corella’s skills.	Black Comedy 23 November – 8 January Teatre Condal, Avenida Paralelo, 91. Barcelona The classic comedy by the famous British playwright comes to the Spanish stage.	Pegados Stuck Until 26 February Club Capitol, La Rambla, 138. Barcelona An interesting contemporary musical about two young people who have a sexual encounter who then find themselves literally ‘stuck’ to each other.
Plecs 27 November Teatre Principal de Terrassa, Plaza Maragall, 2. Terrassa A fanstastic mixture between circus, theatre, dance and music which explores the endless possibilities of the world of paper.	Los Miserables Les Miserables Until 29 February Barcelona Teatre Musical, Guardia Urbana, s/n. Barcelona The legendary musical full of passion and beauty, based on the novel by French writer Victor Hugo, is being staged in Barcelona.

Carrera de la Mujer Barcelona 2011 Women’s Race Barcelona 2011 6 November Plaza Espanta, Barcelona This is an annual 5 kilometre run to raise money for breast cancer, similar to the race for life in the UK. Join in or just cheer on the runners!	Monster Jam 12 November Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, Barcelona Watch as the monster trucks battle it out in races and trick competitions which are sure to end in carnage!	Jean Bouin Memorial Running Competition 2011 20 November Avinguda de Rius i Taulet, Barcelona A 9.5 km race around Mont Juïc in Barcelona in memory of the famous French athlete, Jean Bouin.
