Below is a sample list of the fields where we have been able to place our students in the past. Please note that these are just examples and that some internships may not be available in Barcelona during your stay. Placement depends on a number of factors (availability in the company, your level of Spanish, your CV, etc.) and we cannot always guarantee a position in the specific company or field of your choice.

Also keep in mind that internships are harder to find in July & August, as many companies either have a lighter load of work or close altogether. Nevertheless, we will do everything in our power to find the right internship in Barcelona for you, and we are always willing to form new partnerships in other areas at your request- don't hesitate to ask!

Internship in Barcelona Characteristics

The standard duration of the internship program in Barcelona is 3 months, although many participants opt to extend their stays.

There are 3 main requirements for enrollment:

1. Minimum age 18 years old
2. Minimum high intermediate level of Spanish
3. Medical insurance

Before beginning your Barcelona internship and stepping foot into the workplace, you will participate in a mandatory 4-week Spanish Language Program (Intensive Spanish or Business Spanish).

To those students wishing to participate in the Barcelona internship program but who do not, as of yet, possess the required high intermediate level of Spanish, fret not! You may enroll in any of our general Spanish courses for as long as it takes to reach an appropriate workplace level of fluency in spoken and written Spanish.

Participants are not paid during their internship program. At times, however, participants in our Barcelona internship program have, at the discretion of the company, received a bonus based upon their contributions.
