    What? To honor Sant Ponç, the patron saint of beekeepers and herbalists, Barcelona has a special market where you can buy all sorts of natural products: honey, perfume, candied fruit, herbal wine and much, much more.

    What? A city-wide celebration of the written word with all sorts of activities and events - readings, lectures, workshops, etc. - dedicated to the world of poetry. Even bus windows and metro cars are decorated with verses.

    What? An exhibition of large-scale photographs - almost 2 meters high! - taken by Isabel Muñoz. The exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and features photographs of children throughout America, Asia and Africa.
  • Proyecto Monthemhat. Las Momias Olvidades. Monthemhat Project. The Forgotten Mummies
    When? March 5 - September 5
    Where? Museo de Arqueología de Cataluña
    What? An exhibition of photographs based on the excavated tomb of Monthemhat, considered one of the best and most elaborate tombs in all of Egypt. In a nearby tomb, another 18 mummies with remarkably preserved faces were discovered.

    What? An exhibition of photographs following the evolution of the monastery complex that went from church-controlled monastery to national monument.

    What? An exhibition of works by Peruvian artist Armando Andrade Tudela which includes two recently-made 16-mm films (transferred onto DVD) and an untitlted wall piece, all framed by an architectural setting also designed by the artist for the occasion.

    What? An exhibition featuring a project by Canadian artist Rodney Graham. The series of work is based on a popular cartoon from a 1950's men's magazine and incorporates characters from the comic as well as reflects on the concept of how people think art should look.

    What? An exhibition that reflects on the contemporary city life, urban culture and the concept of public space.

    What? An exhibition of books, sculptures, artwork and installations created by Canadian artist Rodney Graham between 1978 and 2008.

    What? A flamenco musical that showcases the influences and trajectory of flamenco as wel as its presence in the 21st century.
  • Duet per a una sola reu (Duet for One)
    When? April 18 - May 9
    Where? Teatre Romea
    What? An adaptaion in Catalan of the play "Duet for One" by Tom Kempinski which tells hte tale of a virtuoso violinist who learns she has multiple sclerosis and seeks advice from a doctor who helps her adjust to and deal with her new situation.
  • Walking with Dinosaurs

    What? An huge-scale show that gives audiences the opportunity to experience the world of dinosaurs that existed millions of years ago. You can see them walk, hear them roar and see their battle to survive.
  • Magic of the Dance

    What? A passionate story of love taking place during times of hunger and devastation in Ireland. The story is told through the impressive precision and energy characteristic of Irish dancing.
