  • Barcelona Poetry

    What? A week of workshops, poetry readings and lectures dedicated to poetry and held in venues like the Museum of Natural Science, the MACBA, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Botanical Gardens.
  • Primavera Sound Festival

  • Mersad Berber Retrosective

    What? Exhibition featuring around 60 paintings by Mersad Berber, a Bosnian artist known for his powerful style.
  • Zabaleta 101

    Where? CaixaForum (Avenida Marquès de Comillas, 6-8)
    What? Exhibition fearuing the works of Andalusian artist Rafael Zabaleta, a major player in Spain's second avant-garde movement. His style combines expressionist, fauvist and cubist elements.
  • Kiki Smith: "Her Memory"

    Where? Fundació Joan Miró (Avenida Miramar, Parc de Montjüic)
    What? Works by feminist artist known best for her sculptures, though she works with a variety of media. The exhibit focuses around the life cycle of an independent woman through symbols and metaphors.
  • El Castell dels Tres Dragons
    When? February 20 - September 13
    Where? Museo de Zoologia (Passeig Picasso, s/n - La Ribera)
    What? A temporary exhibition all about the history and architecture of the zoo's famous building, the Castell dels Tres Dragons, which was built in 1888 by Domènech i Montaner, one of Spain's top modernista architects.
  • Il-luminaciones
    When? February 10 - May 24
    Where? CCCB (c/ de Montalegre, 5 - El Raval)
    What? Exhibiton that covers the evolution of thought and creation in Cataluña from the times of Ramón Llull up through today. On display are 800 works by figures from the arts, literature, thought and science that have shaped that have broken molds and created new perspectives, including Dalí, Picasso, Cerdà, Verdaguer, Tapies, Duchamp...
  • En la Diócesis de Barcelona (1936 - 1939)
    When? February 26 - May 10
    Where? Museo Diocesano (Pia Almoina)
    What? An exhibition in the Diocesan museum consisting of one hundred original works and documents, all of which are related to the cultural heritage destroyed in 1936.
