- Corpus Christi

Where? Barcelona Cathedral
What? The most famous part of Barcelona's Corpus Christi celebration is the L'ou com Balla, a 16th century tradition in which emptied eggshells are perched above the water jets of the city's elaborately decorated fountains, thereby making the eggshells look as if they are dancing. You can also catch festive carnival-like parades passing through the center.
- SONAR Music Festival

What? Barcelona's internationally popular music festival, SONAR, features all sorts of exhibitions, conferences, audiovisual screenings and concerts. Over 40,000 music Featuring world-class hip-hop, electro, electronic pop, experimental jazz, post rock and digital concretism. Highlight performances this year include Grace Joanes, Calle Botánica, Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Animal Collective, Crystal Castles and Late of hte Pier.

Where? Throughout the city and along the beaches
What? Barcelona's celebrations of Sant Joan (Saint John the Baptist) welcomes the onset of summer with bonfires, fireworks, firecrackers, dancing, and general debauchery. It's also called "La Nit del Foc", literally "the night of fire," as the skies of Catalonia light up all throughout the region.

What? An exhibition focusing on movies famous in Spain between 1978 and 1985 that revolve around the figure of the young delinquient as protagonist. Includes audiovisuals, documentaries, photographs, press clippings, posters and much more.

Where? CaixaForum Centre Social i Cultural (Av. Marquès de Comillas, 6)
What? An exhibition following the trajectory of Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio featuring more than 200 of his works.
- Princesas de tierras lejanas Princesses from Far Lands
When? May 7 - August 2
Where? Museu d'Història de Catalunya (Pl Pau Vila, 3)
What? Exhibition focusing on Constanza of Aragón, Violante of Hungary, Beatriz of Aragón and María of Habsburg, medieval princesses-turned-queens who were wed in a strategic effort to create strong ties between Spain and Hungary. An interesting look at the time period.
- El Castell dels Tres Dragons
When? February 20 - September 13
Where? Museo de Zoologia (Passeig Picasso, s/n - La Ribera)
What? A temporary exhibition all about the history and architecture of the zoo's famous building, the Castell dels Tres Dragons, which was built in 1888 by Domènech i Montaner, one of Spain's top modernista architects.

Where? CaixaForum Centre Social i Cultural (Av Marquès de Comillas, 6)
What? An exhibition highlighting the creative process of Spanish artist Miquel Barceló during the year and a half he spent painting the dome in the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.

What? An exhibition of works by American painter Matt Sesow, known for his edgy paintings that go beyond typical cultural institutions.

What? Production of Federico García Lorca's famous work.

What? A two-act play addressing life and death through the story of a Communist family that reunites for the funeral of their father.
- Adulterios

Where? Teatre Apolo (c/ Paral-lel, 59)
What? Popular actress Verónica Forqué protagonizes this comedy set in New York City. Widely considered a great work of intelligent comedy, it was written by Woody Allen and adapted by Nacho Artime.

- Tango Fire
